Zapraszamy na wykład i warsztat z prof. Lidią Guzy
Katedra Etnologii i Antropologii Kulturowej UMK w Toruniu (Instytut Nauk o Kulturze) zaprasza na wykład i warsztat prowadzone przez Prof. Lidię Guzy z University College Cork, (MA Anthropology Program Director), które odbędą się w środę, 25 maja 2022 r. od 11:30 do 15:00 w Collegium Humanisticum, sala AB.1.07 (ul. Władysława Bojarskiego 1). W trakcie spotkania zostanie wygłoszony wykład pt. „Music, Marginalisation, Religion and Politics. Examples of sustainable documentation and fieldwork from western Odisha, India” oraz odbędzie się warsztat pt. „Workshop Methodologies Revisited”. Zajęcia będą prowadzone w języku polskim.

This presentation introduces to the process of long-term ethno-musicological research (2002-2011) on sacred village music as expression and rituals of local Goddess worship in Eastern India. It discusses the role of the ethnographer and its culturally specific potentialities for the research.
Wykład wprowadza w problematykę długotrwałych badań etnomuzykologicznych (2002-2011) nad wschodnioindyjską wiejską muzyką sakralną w kontekście rytuałów poświęconych lokalnej bogini. Omawia rolę etnografa i jego kulturowo uwarunkowanych możliwości badawczych.
Anthropological Laboratory: Workshop Methodologies Revisited (Laboratorium Antropologiczne: Powrót do metodologii warsztatowych)
This international workshop aims at discussing the challenges and chances of contemporary anthropological methodological techniques, such as qualitative and quantitative methods, participant observation, ethnography and the ethnographic process.
Celem tego międzynarodowego warsztatu jest omówienie wyzwań i możliwości współczesnych podejść metodologicznych, takich jak metody jakościowe i ilościowe, obserwacja uczestnicząca, etnografia i badanie etnograficzne.
Uczestnicy warsztatu są proszeni o zapoznanie się z tekstem: Guzy Lidia, Ritual Village Music and Marginalised Musicians of Western Orissa/Odisha, India, „International Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies”, 2013, Vol. 9 Issue 1, pp. 121-140.
Lidia Guzy – the Programme Director of the MA Anthropology at Study of Religions Department, University College Cork, National University of Ireland. She is an internationally trained social anthropologist, scholar of religions, currently Head of the Study of Religions Department and Lecturer in Contemporary South Asian Religions. She is Director of the Marginalised and Endangered Worldviews Study Centre (MEWSC) and a global educator working in the areas of culture, globalisation, indigeneity, art, representation, religion and society, marginalised and endangered worldviews and societies. Specialise in I.) anthropology of South Asian cultures and religions (popular Hinduism, indigenous Adivasi religions, ascetic and ecstatic traditions, goddess worship); II) scientific studies of religions; III.) media anthropology with special focus on music; IV.) museum anthropology (religion and museum); V) comparative studies in indigenous cultures and religions - research on shamanism; VI) marginalized and endangered worldviews.
